  1. Introduction:

    2. Some comparisons for Ukrainians in MA and all Ukrainians in the US:
      • total population and if speak Ukrainian or not
      • 3 ancestry categories (only Ukrainian, Ukrainian-Other; Other-Ukrainian)
    3. U.S. tables included in all reports:
      • Ukrainians by State and number and % speaking Ukrainian
      • Ukrainians by major MAs and number and % speaking Ukrainian
  2. Demographic Characteristics:
    • Age and sex
    • Marital Status
    • Married spouse present
    • Race

    • Spatial distribution: compare Ukrainians in Metropolitan Area with:

      • if has mortgage and if has 2nd mortgage
      • monthly mortgage payment

      • year of construction of house
    2. Household/family characteristics:
      • Type of household: family, couple or single person, if children present, etc.
      • Family income
      • Number of persons in household: total, < 18 yrs., 65+ yrs.
      • Linguistic isolation of household
      • Age-sex of head
      • Language spoken by head: Ukrainian, Russian, only English, Other
      • Head is US born or immigrant and year of immigration
      • Number of workers in family
      • Family type and employment status of husband and wife

B. Special analysis of new migrants (1990 - 2000):
