The Shevchenko Scientific Society, USA, is exempt from Federal Income Tax under the provision of section 101(6) of the Internal Revenue Code.  Receipts for tax purposes are provided for all donations to the Society.

A special fund has been created to support the Center for Demographic and Socio-Economic Research of Ukrainians in the United States.  The fund will be used to support the following activities:

a) Data base: technical support, improvements, updates and expansion.

b) Web site: technical maintenance, administrative maintenance (bibliography,

comments, announcements, etc.)

c) Special fund for student papers and thesis

d) Scientific meetings

e) Research grants

f)  Publications of research results
